HRCA Board of Directors Opposes Sedalia Landfill
The Sedalia Land Company has submitting an application to re-zone 358 acres from Use by Special Review to Planned Development, with the intention of constructing a 20,000 square foot Recycling Center (with potential for future expansion up to an additional 40,000 square feet) and landfill.
The HRCA is the owner of the contiguous land to the north of the proposed Sedalia landfill. This land is known as the Backcountry Wilderness Area of Highlands Ranch. The character of the land, its abundant animal and plant life, and its inherent beauty are of inestimable value to the citizens of Highlands Ranch.
As the Board of Directors for the Highlands Ranch Community Association, Inc. (HRCA), we are strongly opposed to the proposed rezoning and expansion of the Sedalia landfill.
More information on the Landfill issue will be posted as it becomes available.
