Elizabeth Strock
– Elizabeth has volunteered for the HRCA as a Delegate and Recreation Advisory Committee member for 1½ years. Elizabeth volunteers to help maintain the great quality of life that we have in Highlands Ranch. Elizabeth’s favorite places in Highlands Ranch are the neighborhood parks and open space. She likes being able to walk right out her front door and enjoy the outdoor scenery. Thank you, Elizabeth, for your dedicated service to our community!

Caroline Smith
– Caroline has volunteered for HRCA for 14 years; 13 years as the delegate for District 61. She said she likes to volunteer because “Highlands Ranch does so much for all of us and I like to give something back.” Caroline said, “No matter how old you are, where you are from, or what you like to do, you can find it all right here in Highlands Ranch. Help the library by reading to children; drive older folks who need a helping hand; increase your athletic skills in our four modern recreation centers; and, of course, attend our Senior Club activities and our remarkable Historical Society programs. Come to Highlands Ranch…we’ve have it all!”

Sharyn Landis
– Sharyn has volunteered to represent her district for three years and in addition to the monthly RAC meetings, she attends Board, Finance, and Architectural Review Committee meetings when she can. Sharyn was a charter member of the HRCA Senior Activities Advisory Board. She says, “I consider giving my time to our community and my neighbors an honor.” She enjoys Highlands Ranch’s fantastic amenities for all ages and personally enjoys the tennis program, where she and has made ‘many great friends through my participation.’ Thank you, Sharyn, for your contribution to our community.

Christina Caputo
– Christina has been a volunteer for the HRCA for five years. She has volunteered for the Finance Committee and as a delegate. Christina said she volunteers because “I think we are very lucky to have such a wonderful community association with so many fun activities and programs and I want to help keep it that way.” Christina’s favorite places in Highlands Ranch are the outside pools and the open space trails in the Backcountry. Thank you, Christina, for your years of service to the Ranch.

Dr. L. Mac Cropsey
– Mac is 89 years old, has been a Delegate for eight years, and volunteered to serve on the by-laws committee. Mac believes that protecting rights of property owners is an important part of making this community a better place to live. He encourages families to enjoy the recreation centers and the many events created and managed by a superb HRCA staff. Mac’s favorite place in Highlands Ranch is the view from his backyard patio of Bear Canyon with its open space and wildlife. Our thanks to Mac for his service!

Monica Wasden
– Monica has been a District Delegate for seven years, and chair of the Delegates for six years. She served on the 25th Anniversary Parade committee and helped make the parade an annual tradition.
Monica believes you get out of life what you put in. She is dedicated to, and loves this community and wants to help make it the best place to live for generations to come. Having lived in Highlands Ranch for over 17 years she has had the opportunity to visit all areas of Highlands Ranch, but loves the views from Wildcat Mountain the most.

Tim Riggle
– Tim has been a volunteer for the HRCA for two years. He serves as a Delegate, and also volunteers at HRCA community events. Tim says he believes it is important to give back to the community that has given him so much. Tim’s favorite place in Highlands Ranch is the new Town Center, and he enjoys the trails throughout the Ranch. Our thanks to Tim for his contribution to the community!

Kimberle Rupert
– Kimberle has been a volunteer for the HRCA for one year. Kimberle serves as a Delegate for District 82. She volunteers because she believes in our community and enjoys the great opportunity to give back. Kimberle’s favorite place in Highlands Ranch is the Backcountry Wilderness Area and her own neighborhood! Thank you, Kimberle, for your dedicated service to the community of Highlands Ranch!

Craig Ziesman –
Craig has volunteered for the HRCA since 1993. He has served as Board of Directors Treasurer, was on the Future Facilities Committee that designed the Recreation Center at Eastridge, and currently serves as a Delegate. Craig volunteers because he believes it is important for every resident to give time and energy back to the community. Craig’s favorite place in Highlands Ranch is the Backcountry Open Space. He enjoys the majestic views and the peace and quiet. Our appreciation goes to Craig for his valuable contribution!

Sue Mutzebaugh
– Sue has been a volunteer for the HRCA for more than 10 years. She has served on several committees over the years and is currently a delegate and the RAC secretary. Sue volunteers because she loves Highlands Ranch and wants to stay informed and help keep the Ranch the great place that it is. Sue’s favorite place in Highlands Ranch is the Backcountry. Sue says, “I think we are very lucky to have such a beautiful place that is part of our community!” Our appreciation goes to Sue for her commitment to our community!

Renee Waters
– Renee has served as an HRCA delegate for three years. Renee attributes the success of Highlands Ranch to the many volunteers and staff who work to make this an exceptional community. As a delegate, she brings her own life experience and viewpoint to benefit our community. Renee says she enjoys living in Highlands Ranch “...because of the many amenities it offers and because of the great people we have come to know. Home, family, and friends make this a terrific place to live!” Our thanks to Renee for her great contribution.

Dave Rodgers – Dave has served as a delegate for District 60 for four years.
Dave says, “Volunteering as a delegate provides an opportunity to participate in planning the future of our community. Prior to becoming a delegate I didn’t fully realize the complexity of managing a community this large and diverse. We have the finest recreational facilities around, and vast open space land filled with wildlife. I now have a broader appreciation for our residents, the people who make up the HRCA, and what’s involved in making Highlands Ranch an ideal place to live.” Thank you, Dave! We appreciate your service to the community!

Ginger Nixt
– Ginger has served as a delegate for four years. She moved to Highlands Ranch 14 years ago and says, “I love it here as it has proved to be everything I envisioned and more! While it still retains a certain “small town charm” it has become a real leader nationwide as the prototype of what a planned unit development can be and should strive for.” Our thanks to Ginger for her dedicated service!

Pat Kaptain
– Pat has been a Delegate for 11 years. Pat says, “A lot of terrific, caring, smart people have made The Ranch into the vibrant, unique, well-managed community it is today.” She volunteers because she wants to help keep it that way. Pat’s favorite events in Highlands Ranch are the summer concerts and the annual Fourth of July Celebration. Our appreciation goes to Pat for her willingness to give back to the community to make Highlands Ranch a great place to live, work, and play!

Brock Norris – Brock has been a Delegate for five years, and currently is in his third term. Brock volunteers as a Delegate because he wants to do his part to help keep Highlands Ranch a fantastic place to live. His focus has been on keeping a good balance between residential and commercial areas, and maintaining our open spaces. Although he says it is hard to choose, Brock’s favorite place in Highlands Ranch is the Backcountry followed closely by our great recreation centers. Thank you, Brock, for your service to the community!

Grace McMahon – Grace has been a volunteer for the HRCA since 2004. She currently serves as a Delegate and helps out at events as a Ranch Hand. Grace volunteers to learn more about Highlands Ranch and to meet other residents. She likes to help any way she can to maintain the enjoyable way of life in the Ranch. Grace enjoys everything about living in Highlands Ranch, and says that our recreation centers can’t be beat! Thank you, Grace for your commitment to our community!

Shon Payne – Shon has been a volunteer for the HRCA since he moved to Highlands Ranch 2½ years ago. He serves as a sub-association president and as a delegate for District 87. Shon feels it is important to volunteer to make sure our community stays a great place to live for our neighbors and our families. Shon’s favorite place in Highlands Ranch is the Recreation Center at Southridge. The Rodeo in the Ranch is his favorite activity. Our appreciation goes to Shon for his service to the community.

Joe Niemeyer
– Joe has been an HRCA delegate for District 17 for five years and has served on several HRCA special committees. Joe says, “In my 26-year Air Force career I was always temporary in any community. I try to be heavily involved here, because for the first time in my life, I can! My family and I love Highlands Ranch and participate in as many concerts and community events as possible.” Joe loves walking in the big Northridge open space with his dog. He enjoys the many well-maintained trails, stream, varied vegetation, and wildlife. Our appreciation goes to Joe for his service to the community!

Al Pelkowski –
Al has served the community of Highlands Ranch as a volunteer for over 20 years. He has served on numerous committees, volunteered at community events, and is currently a Delegate for District 94. Al believes it is important to give back to the community. He takes pride in knowing that over the years he has helped shape Highlands Ranch into what it is today. Al’s favorite place is Highlands Ranch is home. He appreciates having all he needs right within walking distance and always enjoys the spectacular views. Thank you, Al! We appreciate your many years of service!

Karen Huschka –
Karen has served the Highlands Ranch community as a delegate for District 69 for over two years. She originally decided to volunteer because her neighborhood district did not have representation. Karen says that once she started serving, she really enjoyed the terrific people she gets to work with. Karen’s favorite things about Highlands Ranch are the views from Daniel’s Park and the activities and community of Town Center. Thank you, Karen, for your willingness to serve!

Rick Murray - Rick has served the Highlands Ranch community as a Delegate for District 80, a Board Member, and as Chairman of the Public Safety Advisory Committee of Douglas County. Rick says, "I enjoy living in a community that is clean, safe, and well maintained. If it takes a little of my time and effort to make that happen, then I am willing to put forth the necessary work". Rick enjoys the recreational opportunities in the Backcountry and the HRCA recreation centers. Thank you, Rick, for you valuable service.

Mike Morris -
Mike has been a resident of Highlands Ranch for 12 years. He has been volunteering for the past three years, and is currently a Delegate for District 63. Mike volunteers because he believes in helping the community continue to be a great place to live and raise a family. Mike’s favorite place in Highlands Ranch is Sand Creek Park. He and his family enjoy taking walks there and watching the owls. Thank you, Mike. We appreciate your dedicated service to the community of Highlands Ranch!

Jerry Winkelman - Jerry has been a Delegate for District #11 for 20 years and a Highlands Ranch resident for 23 years. Jerry volunteers as a Delegate because he feels it is important to give back to the community that has been so valuable to his family. Jerry says a favorite place in Highlands Ranch for him and his family is the "Overlook" because it is uplifting no matter the time or mood. Congratulations, Jerry, and thank you for your many years of service to the community.

Todd Lawson - Todd has volunteered for the HRCA for over six years. He has served as a Delegate for District 73 and is on the By-laws Committee. Todd feels it's important to be active in the community because it's not only a great way to meet staff members and other volunteers, but also helps reduce costs that would otherwise have to come from dues, fees, or taxes. Todd's favorite activity in Highlands Ranch is enjoying the trails throughout the community and in the Backcountry. Thank you, Todd, for your commitment!

Frances Reichardt - Frances has been a volunteer for the HRCA for nine years, currently serving as a delegate. Frances also has been a part of the Golden Highlanders, the original senior group and has participated in numerous community events. Being retired has given Frances the opportunity to give back. Frances highly recommends volunteering for the HRCA saying, "All the staff at the HRCA have always made it a rewarding and fun experience". Frances' favorite place in Highlands Ranch is the Mansion. We appreciate Frances and her dedication!

Wendy Boettcher - Wendy became a delegate for District 102 in June of 2008. When she received a letter last year stating that no one in her district was interested in volunteering, she decided to step in! Wendy is an avid volunteer. She also enjoys volunteering at her church. Wendy has many favorite places in Highlands Ranch, but when asked to choose says, "I guess I’d say Civic Green Park — my six year old loves it, too"! Thank you, Wendy for your willingness to serve your community!

Sally Wurr - Sally is a delegate on the Recreational Advisory Board for District 66. Sally has volunteered with the HRCA for three years, and enjoys making a difference and participating in the community. Volunteering as a delegate allows her to educate those she comes in contact with on the programs, events, and happenings in the Ranch. Sally's favorite place in Highlands Ranch is her own front desk, which overlooks Highlands Ranch and the front range. We appreciate Sally's commitment to the community!

Daniel Swomley - Dan has been a volunteer for the HRCA for four years. He is beginning his third term as a delegate for District 21. Dan enjoys serving his community and helping Highlands Ranch continue to be a great place to live. As a delegate, Dan enjoys staying informed about what is happening in Highlands Ranch. One of his favorite activities is jogging in the open space. We appreciate Dan's many years of service!

Hal Moorman - Hal has volunteered as a delegate for the HRCA for twenty years. Hal likes helping his community wherever he is able. He has enjoyed watching Highlands Ranch grow from a community of less than 10,000 residents to over 90,000! His favorite place in Highlands Ranch is anywhere that offers a view of the mountains. Hal was born and raised in Texas. He and his wife have four children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Hal's medical career began as a Navy doctor in the Pacific in World War II. Thank you, Hal!  We appreciate your dedicated service to Highlands Ranch!

Russ King - Russ is a 13 year volunteer of the HRCA. He has served as District 64 Delegate of the HRCA's Recreation Advisory Committee as well as on the nomination committee for the Taste of Highlands Ranch beneficiary. He believes in giving back to his community. Russ enjoys working out at the Recreation Center at Eastridge and biking throughout the Ranch. He looks forward, every year, to the Summer Concerts, Oktoberfest, and the Taste of Highlands Ranch. Russ was raised in Pennsylvania and has been a Physical Therapist for 31 years. Our thanks to Russ for his commitment to serving the community!
