Lifeguards and Swim Instructors
Are you a swimmer looking for flexible hours in a fun environment? We are currently accepting applications for summer employment as well as year round availability. You must be able to swim 100 yards, tread water without the use of your hands for one minute and retrieve a ten pound brick from a depth of eight feet. Employment opportunities at HRCA may be available, but not guaranteed, after successful completion of a certification course. Starting pay up to $11.39 per hour, depending on qualifications. Assistant Facility Supervisor
Highlands Ranch Community Association seeks a team oriented, hard working, hands-on, dependable manager with excellent supervisory, detail, communication, people, and follow-through skills. This position helps supervise the day-to-day operations of a large up-to-date recreation center including aquatics, cardiovascular-weight areas, classes, public areas, program registration, guest services, room rentals, janitorial, landscaping, training, and scheduling. Must possess excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills. Three (3) to five (5) years direct supervisory experience required. Schedule may include opening, closing, weekend, and holiday shifts between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. FT position with competitive benefits and a starting salary in the upper-thirties. Adult Indoor Soccer Official
Part time position that performs Adult Indoor Soccer Officiating for HRCA Adult Indoor Soccer Leagues. Maintains a safe environment in the adult games and enforces rules pertaining to adult soccer. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with good communication skills. Must be able to maintain composure when conflict occurs. Must possess current First Aid and CPR or obtain it within 30 days. Requires a working knowledge of soccer rules and the implementation of the rules. Certification as a soccer official through the United States Soccer Federation is a plus. Youth Basketball League Supervisor
Youth Basketball League Supervisors needed to work weekend day/evening hours to provide exceptional customer service in our youth basketball league. Duties include enforcing gym/league rules and working with spectators, coaches, players, officials and other staff members to ensure a safe environment for youth sports. Those that are hired will be considered for work in other sports leagues. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. 6 months prior work experience in sports or customer service is required. Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
Highlands Ranch Community Association is looking for a confident, motivated professional to work directly with participants of all ages and abilities. This part time position requires knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation programs including personal instruction and group classes designed to enhance skills and well-being. Knowledge of adapted programming in the water and on land is essential. Must be people-oriented, flexible and customer service focused. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation from an accredited four-year college or university, NCTRC certified, possess current American Red Cross or equivalent First Aid/CPR certification or obtain in 30 days, and able to acquire lifeguard certification. Must also have a minimum of 6 months experience working with special populations in a TR environment. Must have experience or demonstrated skills in aquatics. Experience with children and working with volunteers preferred.

  • Serve as a liaison between the TR Coordinator and families served through the Therapeutic Recreation program.
  • Work flexible hours which includes some weekend and evening hours.
  • Provide administrative support and direct service to clientele and properly teach weekly group programs.
  • Assist the TR Coordinator with the daily operations of the Therapeutic Recreation program area for HRCA. Enforce all HRCA policies and procedures.

The HRCA Youth Department has an opening for a part-time pom and cheer instructor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating and facilitating personalized pom/cheer programs, working one on one with students to prepare and assist students in developing not only a familiarity but comfort and proficiency in the subject. Must have a related degree and 3 years of instruction experience and the ability to work after school hours and weekends. Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with children. Basic computer skills a plus. Ability to lift items 10 to 25 lbs. Rate of pay ranges from $10.59 - $17.06/hour. Tumbling Instructor
Part-time position for nights and Saturdays. Responsible for preparation and instruction of elementary tumbling classes. Must have ability to teach basic tumbling movements and to effectively communicate with participants, members and coworkers.
