Imagine @ the Speed of Light in Highlands Ranch!
Email your creations to Googlicious@hrcaonline.org for a chance to win cash prizes. Top prize is $200. A total of $1000 in prize money will be awarded; sponsored by Fujitsu.
Create a video, compose a song, paint a picture, write some code, or in any way create something to help promote Highlands Ranch as the place for Google’s Fiber Initiative, and then post it, blog it, tweet it, email it, YouTube it, say it, tell your friends-- do whatever you can to help us get the word out and let us know.
We’d love to share anything created to support this effort!
Rules:
- Include "Imagine @ the Speed of Light in Highlands Ranch!" as your project theme;
- All contest submissions are due March 22 to the HRCA Googlicious@hrcaonline.org;
- There is no limit to the number of creations a contestant can submit; By participating you agree to the terms*.
- Videos submissions
- must be two minutes or less and posted on Youtube,
- send the link to Googlicious@hrcaonline.org;
- videos must have the privacy option set to: Everyone
- videos must follow the YouTube Community Guidelines
- keep it rated PG
Suggestions: include pictures of people and places in Highlands Ranch and talk about why Google should build their ultra-fast internet in Highlands Ranch. Examples: (We can do better than these!) Google is also interested in next generation apps: We want to see what developers and users can do with ultra high-speeds, whether it's creating new bandwidth-intensive "killer apps" and services, or other uses we can't yet imagine.
Don't Forget to nominate Highlands Ranch by filling out Google's nomination form:
Please take a moment to complete a short survey on Google's website that will take less than 15 minutes. (Note: Google requires that you have a Google account to nominate a community. If you do not already have an account, you can create one for free with your e-mail address.) On the form, type 'Highlands Ranch, CO' in the space for Your Organization. The more responses, the better!
