FAQ's about Day Camp:
- Children must bring a lunch, swim suit and towel each day unless the field trip calendar indicates the children will be provided lunch on their field trip.
- During the summer, the Eastridge Discovery Camp has an on site field trip on Mondays and an off site field trip on Fridays. The Southridge Adventure Camp goes on a field trip Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with a special activity brought in for the kids on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Westridge Day Camp field trip is on Thursdays.
- If your child is on medication, has an epi-pen or an inhaler, additional paperwork is needed before your child is able to attend. Please pick this paperwork up from the Day Camp office.
- The Day Camp is a peanut conscious program. Children with peanut allergies will sit at tables with children who do not have peanut products in their lunches.
- In the afternoon the Day Camp will often watch a PG movie. These are typically Disney movies such as Shrek, A Bugs Life and the Bee Movie. Children who do not wish to watch the movie are given other activities to participate in.
- All children who wish to swim in the deep end of the pool must pass a swim test with the aquatics staff to receive a bracelet that indicates their swim ability. Children who do not pass or wish not to take the test, are allowed to swim in the shallow end of the pool.
- The Day Camps take Littleton School buses on their field trips.
- The Day Camp maintains a 1:15 staff to child ratio as required by the state of Colorado for licensed programs.
- We divide the groups up by age in the summer to provide more age appropriate activities. During the school year, we stay together as one group regardless of the ages of the children attending.
- The Day Camp Staff are over 18 years of age with child care experience. They are trained in first aid, CPR and Universal Precautions and undergo two different background checks with the State of Colorado.
Please stop by one of our Recreation Centers and pick up a Parent Handbook for more comprehensive information. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to call 303-471-8880.
