HRCA hosts a variety of theatre programs for youth of all ages that are sure to bring out the actor or actress in your family! With a state-of-the-art auditorium, this is a wonderful place for your child to express their creative side.


KidStage

The following classes are facilitated by KidStage, a national after-school drama program with instruction in acting, theatre activities, and performance opportunities. Each class closes with a production.

 KidStage Crafty Acting for TotS! (ages 3-4)
Join us as we explore the fun of acting through story telling, song, dance and prop making. Help your tot build self confidence through playing, being silly with peers, and acting on stage! TotS will also work on small crafts each day!

TOYS! (ages 5-8)
KidStage Stars Program
Join all your favorite toys from Hungry Hungry Hippos to the Potato Heads to find out what goes on when your child leaves the room and the toys are left to their own devices.Toys teaches an important element of theatre, learning to work as an ensemble while supporting each other onstage and of course, having a ton of fun!

Silver! (ages 9-12)
KidStage Super Stars Program
Long John Silver wasn’t always a notorious pirate. There was a time, back in pirate school, when he was just a one-legged outcast struggling to make friends and find his way. It is here that he and his friends hunt for the legendary treasure.

NEW! Through the Looking Glass (ages 8-14)
Winter/Spring Musical!
This whirlwind adaptation depicts a coming-of-age story with tons of twists. You’ll recognize some of your favorite characters of Wonderland and meet dozens of new ones along Alice’s journey!

OZ! – Spring Break Camp! (ages 5-12)
Join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Lion, and the Tin Man on their adventure to get to the Wizard to fulfill their dreams. Children will have camp snacks provided each day and the children will be working on all facets of the theater production from acting to light stagecraft!
