
This race is a great way to introduce your children to the triathlon sport. This is a fun and safe event for your family to enjoy together!

Family discounts available $40 first child, $35 second child, $30 third child, $25 fourth child, 5th child is free. Must all have same last name and register at one of the Recreation Centers.

- 4-6 year: 25 yard swim, 1/2 mile bike, 1/4 mile run
- 7-9 years: 50 yard swim, 1 mile bike, 1/2 mile run
- 10-12 years: 100 yard swim, 3.1 mile bike, 1 mile run

RACE DETAILS
Pre-race Day Packet Pick-up: Thursday August 9th, 3:30 to 6:00pm at The Recreation Center at Northridge at the Outdoor pool.
Mandatory Parental Meetings: Will be held during packet pick up. Meetings will be held on the hour at 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00pm. You Must attend one of these meetings. This is your time to ask any questions you and your child might have concerning the course, pool, transtion area and race day information.
Race FAQs: We want this to be an enjoyable experience for your child. Let's keep it a fun environment. This is a great way to introduce your child to triathlons. Positive encouragement is mandatory!
Parking: Additional parking will be available across the street from the Recreation Center
Transition Area: One parent per child will be allowed in the transition area. We ask that everyone will please stay out of the area due to safetly reasons.
Swim: The 4-6 year olds will complete 1 length of the pool. The 7-9 year olds will complete 1 lap in the pool. The 10-12 year olds will complete 2 laps in the pool. Any style of swim is acceptable. Children can take a break during their swim if necessary. There will be lifeguards on duty and in the pool for assistance if required. Flotation devices are not allowed.
Bike: The bike route will go on the trail behind Northridge. The 4-6 year olds will do one loop and the 7-9 year olds will do 2 loops. The 10-12 year olds will complete a total of 3.1 miles course TBD. This trail goes around the fields.
Run: Will be in the grassy area southeast from Northridge. The 4-6 year olds will do one loop and the 7-9 year olds will do 2 loops. The 10-12 year olds will complete a total of 1 mile, course TBD.
Beneficiary: The Tayla Pethe Memorial Fund at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital supports the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit where baby Tayla was born and cared for during her short life of 28 days. Tayla suffered several complications during delivery and was placed on brain cooling care. Tayla had multiple interventions and procedures. Tayla's parents and family relied heavily on the Doctors and staff in the NICU, and were grateful for their extraordinary efforts and care. Tayla's parents set up this fund in memory on their little girl to help fund these essential services for other babies.
