HRCA 4th of July Parade - 9:00 a.m.
The Highlands Ranch Community Association’s (HRCA) annual 4th of July Parade will bring the community together in celebration of our nation’s birth.
Beginning at 9:00 am, Community members will line the streets of Highlands Ranch to enjoy a full day of celebration including the Family Bike & Pet Parade, the Community Parade, music, food, beer, a pet adoption fair, and a 5K race. Ed Greene with CBS4 will announce the parade and Gerald M. Flannery, CEO/General Manager will be the Grand Marshal.
Street closures will be from 6:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. on July 4th. Streets that will be closed are:
Highlands Ranch Parkway between Lucent and Broadway
Barrons Blvd. from Monument to Highlands Ranch Parkway
Monument Dr.
Zotos
Ridgeline Blvd. from Blake Dr. to Monument
Ridgeline from Dorchester to Highlands Ranch Parkway
Blake Dr. from Ridgeline Blvd. to Highlands Ranch Parkway
To enter the parade simply type in the fields of the Parade Entry Form, save it onto your computer, and email to vmiller@hrcaonline.org. It's that simple to show your patriotic spirit!

Bike/Pet Parade Participants - 8:45 a.m.

The HRCA Family Pet & Bike Parade allows families to dress up everyone, including the pet and bikes, and show their patriotic spirit! Make a sign to identify your family, if you like. This patriotic parade is for children 2 - Grade 6. Parent must stay with child. FREE to participate. Registration not required. Families will stay together. The line up will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the street that runs between Garbanzo Restaurant and Jack in the Box. The parade route takes participants south on Hepburn to Highlands Ranch Parkway east and south into Town Center South parking lot. Families may then find a place to watch the Community Parade. Start Time – 8:45 a.m. Length of parade is .2 miles.

HRCA Independence Day 5K - 8:00
Enjoy a run/walk challenge along the scenic trail system of Highlands Ranch. The run will offer something special every mile. Proceeds benefit Developmental Pathways.
- Registration: 7:00 a.m.
- Race Start Time: 8:00 a.m.
- Beginning and End: Highlands Ranch Pkway
- Cost: $40 ($30 if you had preregistered)
- Awards: 9:00 a.m. at the Town Center stage

The four HRCA Tents will be Selling:
Beverages: Bud Beer $5, Bud Light Lime $5, soda $1, water $1 TICKETS OR CASH
** Anyone purchasing alcohol will be ID’d and must wear a wrist bracelet.
Tickets: $1.00 each. Tickets are needed for rides and games, which cost between 1 - 7 tickets each. NO REFUNDS. Tickets may be exchanged for merchandise such as beer, pop, water, or Midway games, kiddie rides, etc. Tickets are not accepted by food vendors on the square.

Restrooms: Port-o-Lets are located near the back doors to Tattered Cover in Town Center South and on the west side of the square in Town Center North.
Lost and Found: Children lost in Town Center should be brought to the stage. Lost items should be taken to Center of Information
First Aid: Designated suite in Town Center (TBD).

Free! 4th of July Combat Challenge hosted by Max Muscle and SportXcel 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Come to Town North Center and have fun testing your strength and endurance on our combat obstacle course. Obstacle course will be based on speed, agility, quickness and wild card obstacles. Bracket style competition is open to ages 12 and up with male and female divisions. Early sign ups can be called in to the HRCA Sports Desk at 303-471-8875 or walk-ups at 11:00 a.m. am on July 4 at the obstacle course. Waivers must be completed before competing. Brackets will be determined between 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Finals will be hosted at 2:00 p.m. Prizes and giveaways will be handed out throughout the afternoon.
Hot Dog Eating Contest 2:30 p.m.
Don't miss seeing the race to eat the most hot dogs. This contest is sponsored by Bernie's Hot Dog Co. Registration is Monday, July 4th 2:00 p.m. at main stage. LImited to first 25 participants. Registration will be held on July 4th at 2:30 at the Main Stage in Town Center South.

Independence Day Pet Adoption Fair Noon- 4:00 p.m.
Looking for love? On the lawn in the Square, noon - 4:00 p.m. you can check out the pet picks from your local shelters. It could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

The turn lanes into Town Center will be closed at 8:30 p.m. for the fireworks. All other streets will remain open.
