Community Scholarships

Created in 2003, the Highlands Ranch Community Scholarship Fund (HRCSF), a 501(c)3 organization, is in its 21st year of providing postsecondary education scholarships to Highlands Ranch students who have demonstrated well-rounded participation in their school or community through volunteerism and service hours. 

Previously, 20 scholarships were awarded to select applicants. In January 2024, the HRCA Board of Directors approved five additional scholarship awards for a total of 25 $2,500 scholarships to be granted to Highlands Ranch high school seniors.

All scholarship awards are granted on an equal opportunity basis, and we encourage all Highlands Ranch seniors to apply today. Guidelines and information are as follows:

2024 Scholarships

Thank you to all our 2024 scholarship applicants. The window to submit scholarship applications has now closed.

Key Community Scholarship Fund Information

2024 Important Dates

  • Friday, Jan. 26: Applications are live.
  • Friday, March 1: Application packets are due no later than 5 p.m.
  • April and May: Applicants are notified of their award status. 
  • Tuesday, May 21: Award recipient celebration.

Applicants must be:

  • Dependent children entering their first year of postsecondary school in the summer or fall of 2024.
  • Enrolled in a full-time course of study at an accredited institution or vocational-technical school.
  • Demonstrate well-rounded participation in their community or school through volunteerism and service.

Awards are factored by:

  • Mentoring experience
  • Community/volunteer service experience
  • Work experience
  • Extracurricular activities and school participation
  • An essay using 500 words or less outlining the applicant's favorite community/school participation activity and why.
  • Current transcript, including grades for first-semester senior year.
  • Two letters of recommendation (school-based and community-based)
