Nature Homeschool Program (Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
Transform your homeschool curriculum into a vibrant, hands-on experience! Join our Nature Homeschool Program at the Backcountry Wilderness Area, offering enriching half-day sessions close to home for exploration and learning in a natural environment, geared toward students first through eighth grade. Each eight-week session delves into a unique nature or science-related topic, fostering a deep connection to the natural world. Emphasizing exploration and a hands-on approach to scientific inquiry, our lessons are thoughtfully crafted with alignment to the Colorado State Education Standards, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging educational experience for your students.

Private Nature Homeschool Programs (Inquire for Availability)
Get a group of students or families together to schedule a private nature homeschool program! For those who do not want to enroll in an eight-week session, we are offering the opportunity to come out to the Backcountry Wilderness Area for a single nature homeschool program. Prices for these programs are $150 for up to 20 children for family-style programs where at least one adult is staying with the group, or $250 for up to 20 children for a drop-off style program.

Horse Homeschool Program (Fridays, 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.)
Get to know the horse beyond the hooves. This equestrian program will introduce all things horses including equine basics, grooming, tacking, horse safety, and riding. The theme will change with each session, but there will be a horse basics lesson at the beginning of each class for new attendees and a review for returners. All attendees need to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
