Virtual Mixology: Week 6

Prepare to be mixed, muddled, shaken and stirred at our brand new Virtual mixology class. Join the HRCA and Davidsons Beer, Wine & Spirits virtually on ZOOM for Mixology, where you will learn the art of making cocktails. Learn to mix, stir, and swizzle with the pros as you create craft cocktails meant to impress! This hands-on event will walk you through the process of creating specialty cocktails alongside some of our favorite mixology professionals.

The event will be a free online classroom style cocktail making class. So make sure to come prepared with all the ingredients needed to create your cocktails! Once a ticket is claimed a Zoom link will be sent to you!

This series will be extending into Thursdays in June - June 4, June 11 & June 18. All classes will be held at 6:00 p.m. MST.

What you need to know to participate:

Week Six (June 11):
Stranahan's Whiskey featuring the "The Brother's Quarrel" and "Strawberry Swing" using Stranahan's Original Whiskey.

Stranahan's Cocktails

The Brother's Quarrel

  • 1 1/2 oz Stranahan's Original
  • 3/4 oz Elderflower liquor
  • 3/4 oz Ginger liquor
  • 1/4 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 lemon peel for garnish
  • lighter

Fill your glass with ice. Add all ingredients to your shaker except the lemon peel and lighter. Add ice from glass to shaker and shake for 10 seconds. Dump shaker with the "dirty ice" back into chilled glass. Take the lemon peel and squeeze oils over lighter expressing top of glass. Garish with lemon peel or ginger slice.

Strawberry Swing

  • 1 oz Stranahan's Original
  • 3 1/2 oz strawberry lemonade
  • 1/2 oz lemon agave nectar
  • 3 twists of tri-colored black peppercorn
  • 4 strawberries
  • 4 dashes Rhubarb bitters

Add 2 strawberries and the rest of the ingredients into a shaker. Muddle strawberries and add ice to shaker. Shake for 30 seconds and double strain into a collins glass with ice. Garnish with strawberries or rhubarb slices and a twist of pepper.
