Meet The Tennis Staff

In addition to their tennis registration duties, and delivering the highest level of customer service, HRCA's Tennis Staff make the Tennis Pavilion at Northridge the friendliest and most fun place to play tennis!

Meet HRCA's Tennis/Pickleball Team Leader

Tim McNerney is the HRCA Tennis/Pickleball Program Team Leader. Tim grew up playing the Western Jr. USTA Sanctioned Intermountain tournaments, played #1 singles (Colorado) during his high school tenure, played collegiately and professionally before becoming a USTA Sanctioned Tennis Teaching Professional during his graduate study years in Greeley and Denver. His initial degree was in Computer Systems Analysis and Design before he moved on to education where he taught for 15 years in Denver Public Schools and then migrated to school leadership/administration. He recently retired as a Superintendent of Schools after 34 years of service and is now beginning his 2nd career in Tennis/Pickleball Leadership with the HRCA.

Tim’s father was a citizen of Ireland and had a brother born on St. Patricks Day while he was living in Boston. Needless to say, he’s very Irish!

He currently lives in Highlands Ranch and anchors himself in this metaphor, “Live as if you were going to die tomorrow; Learn as if you were going to live forever.” M. Gandi
