Highlands Ranch is home to premier shopping and dining experiences; popular entertainment opportunities; and a wide range of attractive residential neighborhoods. From it's conception, Highlands Ranch was a well planned community. To achieve and maintain the integrity of the community the Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA), has adopted “Commercial Design & Restrictions" (CDR’s).
The CDRs apply to all businesses for both new development and redevelopment in the Highlands Ranch Community. It is recommended that businesses review the CDRs during their project planning phase: Commercial Design & Restrictions (CDRs)
The business or organization will need to submit a proposed listing of materials along with the Commercial Improvement Application Form. Submittals must be received by noon on the Tuesday three weeks prior to the next scheduled Development Review Committee (DRC) meeting.
Signs must meet the basic Highlands Ranch Signage Guidelines and the sign criteria specific to the shopping center/area where the business is located (if applicable). To receive approval for commercial signage requires a completed application for each sign and the application review payment.
